Experience
Dylan is a lawyer with broad experience across civil law, insurance and corporate matters. Called to the Ontario bar in 2024 after completing his Juris Doctor at TMU's Lincoln Alexander School of Law, Dylan has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, and drafted submissions before the Divisional Court and License Appeal Tribunal.
Prior to founding Zamani Advocates, Dylan worked at a large regional firm in Ottawa as a litigation associate, where he handled various litigation files, including general litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, bankruptcy, and condominium disputes. Dylan also gained valuable legal experience working as a Staff Lawyer with one of Canada's leading national firms, supporting complex transactions and high-value litigation matters. During his articles at a boutique litigation firm in Toronto, Dylan gained hands-on experience across a wide range of insurance and commercial disputes.
While completing his legal studies at TMU, Dylan was elected as Student Ambassador to the Ontario Bar Association, a position he held for two consecutive terms. He was also invited by the OBA's senior project lead to serve as Ontario's designate to the National Law Students Section Executive Committee of the Canadian Bar Association, representing the province at national executive meetings. Dylan is also proud to have co-founded the first Middle Eastern Law Students Association at Lincoln Alexander School of Law.
Outside of practicing law, you can find Dylan spending quality time with his friends and family, cheering on his niece and nephew from the stands at their sporting events, and supporting the Ottawa Senators in hopes of one day seeing the Stanley Cup return to the city where it all started!
